MEET ALINA

WHO I AM
I'm a Yorkville resident, a mother, and someone who has lived through more than my fair share of broken systems. I’m not a politician; I didn’t grow up with connections or privilege. My family immigrated as Jewish refugees when I was a small child in 1989. I lived in almost every borough and Manhattan's District 28 for 20 years. It's home, it shaped me, and it educated me.
I’ve worked to build businesses and fought to stay afloat in a city that is often designed to push people out. I’ve battled a family court system and the bad actors within it to just be in my children's lives. I’ve dealt with housing battles, and I’ve watched small businesses get crushed while the city protects everyone except the people who live here.
WHY I AM RUNNING
I’m tired of the excuses and the dysfunction in Albany. I’m tired of watching leaders talk in headlines while our city pays the price. This campaign is personal. I want a safer, cleaner, fairer New York for families, small business owners, and everyday residents who just want stability. I’m not running to play the political game. I’m running to expose what’s broken and fix it.

With 20 years of experience across the pharmaceutical and private sectors, my career has been dedicated to leadership, execution, and managing complex systems with accountability and measurable outcomes. Having worked within the regulatory frameworks that influence businesses, families, and communities, I possess a deep understanding of how policy decisions impact them. My approach is practical, disciplined, and rooted in real-world rather than political theory, which is the perspective I will bring to the New York State Senate: a commitment to clarity, fairness, and results-driven leadership in Albany.
